For the fourth consecutive year, we are thrilled to take part in Urban Art Fair, which will be held from April 24 to 27, 2025, at the Carreau du Temple in Paris. This 9th edition highlights the French duo Murmure, whom we are proud to represent and exhibit at our stand.
This year, Murmure was chosen to design the official fair poster, an artwork that questions the role and evolution of street art in public spaces and contemporary culture. The poster features a street art cleaner wearing an "Obey" t-shirt, emphasizing with a touch of irony the paradox within the movement.
“Like many artists before us, seeing our work (or that of others) erased by municipal services does not leave us indifferent.” – Murmure
The artwork raises a central question: does the rebellious and subversive message of street art lose its impact when it becomes a global brand? Obey, originally a symbol of social criticism and defiance, has now become a major streetwear label, worn by thousands—sometimes without even grasping its meaning.
“This situation is not unrealistic. There are probably street art cleaners wearing Obey clothing without realizing the irony.” – Murmure
We are delighted to present the original painting that was used to create the poster at our stand, an artwork that perfectly embodies the depth and artistic engagement of the duo.
