Murmure is a duo of French artists composed of Paul Ressencourt (born in 1981) and Simon Roché (born in 1983). They met while studying at the École supérieure d’arts & médias in Caen, and began collaborating in 2010, driven by a shared passion for drawing and street art that extended beyond their academic paths.
Deliberately engaged, the duo develops a body of work that is playful, dreamlike, and poetic, allowing them to address social and environmental issues with sensitivity. Childhood, homelessness, consumer society, new technologies, and humanity’s impact on the planet are among their key themes — subjects they explore through a variety of mediums, making their practice a visual echo of their generation’s concerns.
We are delighted to present their work for the first time as part of our upcoming group exhibition, “4 Seasons.”
