The gallery is pleased to present “Illusion”, a group exhibition featuring 1010Alfred ChengInsane51, and Leon Keer.

Though their practices differ radically, these four artists share a common ground: challenging perception, deceiving the eye, and pushing the boundaries of representation.

Since the beginning of his career, 1010 has developed immersive works centered on depth effects and the depiction of cavities. Through subtle gradients and layered compositions, he creates visual openings that appear to pierce the surface, in a constant pursuit of technical and visual evolution.

Alfred Cheng creates his works using a single thread. Through the meticulous intersection of stretched lines and the interplay of light and shadow, he manages to “draw” in space, revealing images that feel almost holographic.

Insane51 has developed a unique visual language based on the superimposition of red and blue imagery. Inspired by anaglyph 3D techniques, two distinct visions coexist within the same artwork, fully revealed depending on the viewer’s perspective and optical device.

Finally, Leon Keer is internationally acclaimed for his hyperrealistic and anamorphic paintings. A master of large-scale illusion, he transforms walls, floors, or simple flat surfaces into strikingly realistic three-dimensional objects.

“Illusion” invites viewers to question what they see, to shift their position, to look again and to rediscover the powerful, destabilizing force of image-making.
